THE ROLE

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller position offers the opportunity to work in a high paced, growth-oriented SaaS company.  The ideal candidate for the position will lead day-to-day accounting functions, review and approve direct report’s work and assist the controller with other accounting related projects that improve processes and controls  
 

YOU WILL

  • Oversee the accounting operations including billing, renewals, financial reporting, and general ledger, including but not limited to Accounts Receivable/Collections, Customer Payments, Applications Bank Reconciliations, and Payroll, 

  • Manage a team of four, 

  • Experience in a software company with subscription-based business and ensuring compliance with all software revenue recognition requirements, 

  • "Super-user" of NetSuite ERP system including being the NetSuite Administrator;  

  • Manage multiple month-end close processes and ensure timely and accurate close and reporting cycles, 

  • Review and approve direct report’s month-end close steps and balance sheet reconciliations, 

  • Review and approve payroll, and be the main point of contact for employees regarding payroll related questions, 

  • Post payroll related journal entries 

  • Manage accounts receivable, collections, A/R metrics, and lead weekly collections meetings, 

  • Assist the Controller with projects, as assigned, 

  • Assist with year-end audit requests and be a key point of contact for audit, 

  • Manage partner commissions and reporting, 

  • Create financial reports for senior management across multiple departments, as requested, 

  • Lead the monthly MRR reconciliations between Netsuite and Salesforce, 

  • Responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes. 

YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited institute of higher education 

  • 8+ years experience in accounting and finance 

  • CPA 

  • Great people skills, including written and verbal communication 

  • Experience in a software company with subscription-based business 

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy. 

  • Experience with Netsuite 

  • Experience processing payroll

Compensation Information

Pursuant to state and local law disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and location is $125,000 to $135,000 per year. This position may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance and is not guaranteed.
