THE ROLE 

Ncontracts is seeking a skilled and analytical Senior Compensation Analyst to join our HR team. As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will lead the analysis, development, design, execution, and communication of various broad-based compensation programs. This will include job evaluation and design, market pricing and compensation benchmarking, and analysis of a variety of compensation elements including bonus and merit programs. This role reports into the Senior Director of HR and partners with HR and company leadership to ensure pay structure alignment with company strategy. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining salary bands and salary grades. Your insights and recommendations will be crucial in maintaining fair and competitive compensation practices that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. You will tackle complex business challenges and drive successful achievement of HR’s goals and objectives.  Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: 
 

YOU WILL  

  • Provide support to the Chief HR Officer, including actions tracking & follow up, executive compensation recommendations and other comp committee board analysis and meeting preparation as well as other ad hoc support/analysis as requested 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive salary structures and bands based on market data, job evaluations, and internal equity considerations. Collaborate with HR and business leaders to establish clear guidelines for salary ranges, progression paths, and pay differentials. 

  • Deliver exceptional results by owing all aspects of Ncontracts relationship with Radford, submitting annual surveys, creating annual salary reviews, and assisting the Talent Acquisition Partner and Hiring Managers to set appropriate salaries for new hires and internal employees, leveraging our pay bands and Radford Compensation tool 

  • Own the annual merit increase and bonus cycles. Maintain the processes for evaluating performance, determining merit increases, and allocating bonuses in accordance with company policies and budgetary constraints. Will deliver data to the CHRO and CFO regarding market data for annual merit increase budget recommendations. Also to include reporting, audits, and training to both managers and employees.  

  • Conduct detailed analyses of compensation data, including salary surveys, market trends, and internal pay structures. Utilize statistical techniques to interpret data and derive meaningful insights. 

  • Research and evaluate external market data to benchmark compensation packages against industry standards. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to ensure competitiveness. 

  • Evaluate job roles and responsibilities to determine appropriate job classifications and salary ranges. Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to establish accurate job descriptions and compensation levels. 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation strategies and programs that support the organization's goals and objectives. Provide guidance on salary adjustments, bonuses, and incentive plans. 

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing compensation practices, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Pay Act, and other relevant legislation. Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices. 

  • Communicate compensation policies, procedures, and guidelines to managers and employees. Provide training and support to ensure understanding and compliance with compensation practices. 

  • Serve as a backup to the HRIS administrator, assisting with system maintenance, data integrity checks, and user support. Provide troubleshooting assistance for HRIS-related issues and inquiries, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions in HR operations. 

  • Lead the configuration for the HRIS system for Open Enrollment, conduct systems testing, handle data file feeds and conduct pre and post open enrollment audits. 

  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, or other business changes requiring compensation expertise. 

YOU BRING

  • 5+ years in compensation analysis or related field preferably in 300-500 employee organization  

  • 3+ years of HRIS experience, preferably Paylocity  

  • 2+ years of conducting and submitting annual compensation survey studies, such as Radford/Mercer 

  • 2+ years of Benefit Experience  

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools  

  • In-depth knowledge of compensation principals, practices, and regulations 

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential data 

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and guide through change – being able to pivot if needed  

  • Proactive, self-driven, and an advanced problem-solver 

  • Possess strong customer service and collaboration mindset 

  • Effective process and project management skills 

  • Proficient technology skills, including minimum of intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) 

  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Compensation Information

Pursuant to state and local law disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and location is $100,000 to $110,000 per year. This position may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance and is not guaranteed.
